La madonna delle galline/OLV van de kippen

Every year the people of Pagani, a village situated on the Vesuvius, celebrate “La madonna della Gallina” or the “Madonna of the hens”. And of course this year we couldn’t miss this particular festivity. The atmosphere in Pagani was brilliant, people played life “Tammuriata” (which is a traditional dance of Campania, with lot’s of tambourins and castanets) all around the village. Impossible to stand still. Food and wine were plenty. And so it came that i took over 1000 photo’s being pretty drunk, i seem to have had some difficulties with the focussing, but at least the atmosphere was captured.
